once upon a time, there lived a little girl. her parents loved her very much and hence, they doted on her so. they gave her everything she wished for and worked very hard to provide their little princess with the best, or rather, what they perceived to be the best. on this certain rainy november morning, this little girl took out her pink diary and wrote:

dear diary, i am so happy! yesterday was the first day of preschool you know. i was very excited and eager to make new friends. the teacher, mrs lim was very kind and pretty. she even gave me a strawberry-flavoured lollipop! and she smells like...lilies. the best thing is, i saw a cute boy with the most adorable smile. and i love his laughter because it is so infectious!

six months later, she wrote:

however, i soon realised that humans are scary. they are a greedy and insatisfiable lot. when they need your help, they smile and praise you to the skies. when they do not; they shun you like plague and question your behaviour behind your back. humans are always wearing a mask. a mask that is deemed acceptable to the society; and if your mask is different or flawed, they'd call you a freak.
i've also gathered that humans are pathetic bunch of fools. why do i say so? they always hanker after the impossible and they are never contented with what they have. in the process, humans deceive, convive, backstab, and betray.
and the worst thing is, i am human.
i told mama just now that i'm tired. that i wanted to sleep.
but i never told her that it'll be eternal.
