back for more than 24 hrs alrdy!!

hmms. have been contemplating whether to blog abt LTC.
LTC started on 24th nov and only ended at 9 plus the 27th. so most probs the entry will be quite long.
in the end, i decided to blog cos i want to keep memories of it for the rest of my life.

first and foremost,
one particular shoutout:
TINTA, TINTA, TINTA!
tristram rockks my socks. (wet and soggy ones included, lol)

day one
dragged my barang barang to my dad's car and we set off to serangoon's macs.
haha, yeps. met up with most of the TRISTRAM dearies for breakfast. the atmosphere then was comfortable but rather silent, i think.
after breakfast, we walked back to nanyang to assemble at the carpark in frnt of those container clsrms to board the chartered buses.
at JB campsite,
after settling the logis and admin stuff,
TRISTRAM did the general stns and HE
.
there was this pt in time when it rained so we moved to the indoor rock wall. when it was my turn, i still rmbred i struggled v hard and long to climb to the top......which i eventually did. felt really relieved and accomplished at tt moment bcos the belaying team and the rest of TRISTRAM and facils were practically shouting their lungs out to cheer me on! THANK YOU very much.

vertical challenge was both mentally and physically straining, as well as challenging. wanna applaud june, chun ho, min wei and kok wey for doing the vertical challenge. june is one brave and agile girl can!:D
for those who didnt do VC due to time constraints, kudos too!
before i forget, i enjoyed myself tremendously being the KITCHEN IC. the best part was scooping and serving food for the other campers!!

day two
started off with abseiling and flying fox. so cool can! totally relaxing and FUN going on that flying fox! spent quite some time on the tower cos the female instructor was asking me abt petanque, haha(: then TOOK THE GIANT LEAP FORWARD! WHEE~~~ oh, realised i forgot to shout TRISTRAM. wo ai ne! hahas.

then it was urban quest. tintagel assembled at the canteen and had water parade tgt.
drew map and TRISTRAM was the first to complete our L-shaped map so we set off first. and i must say, we were very lucky, both SMRT buses came at perfect timings and this gave us a major headstart.
quelyn, june and winnie told us IQ stories(nt sure how to call them) on the bus. rather mind-bloggling. ask me if ya want(:
we also played polar bear and hunter twice. but twice, the polar bears killed the hunters on first attempt. LOL. that proves one thing:
the twelve of us in TRISTRAM got telepathy betw us!
can read ea others' minds la!
after some hours,
arrived at our final destination--
west coast.

did the obstacle course, pitched tents and cooked dinner.
had porridge style curry chicken char lor mee! 0.o hahahas

nxt was night quest,
serene paired us up, my partner was raphael!
he was blindfolded whilst my hands were tied up.
yeps. and then the six pairs of TRISTRAM had to go thru
five stns:
1) 3D spider web (similar to level camp's)
2) crawling on ice and cold water
3) math questions. got drenched by mr loo and ms lim when we answered wrongly
4) geting the tealight
5) walked through the bumpy and curvy bridge? made of logs. needed to protect the tealight at the same time.

played other games like ard the world in 80 days, party invitation and fuzzy wuzzy during outdoor cooking.

tintagel rested in tents on the grass patch for that night.

day three
returned back to the jb campsite.
tintagel did rafting as a whole sub-camp. rafting reminded me of the good old days of guides can!
thank you PANADOL? for lending us ur raft. our raft cldnt float at first but in the end, it worked and june and siva represented us to retrieve the map fr mr alvin tan.
water confidence test and capsize drill.
TRISTRAM stuck to night quest's pairings for the double kayaks.

capsize drill was superbly thrilling too~
aft dinner, sir LANCELOT and TRISTRAM prepared for finale night.
ren kai was the chosen ali baba. his signature smile so spastic can! :D
darren acted as his girlfriend.
agnes, yvonne and another girl played the roles of ali baba's friends.
geok ting, quelyn, min wei, kok wey etc. were the mob who ambushed him.
yong cai and chun ho were part of the crowd that was almost knocked dwn by ali baba.
guan kang and raphael were the pillars. for obvious reasons.
siva, june and melissa were the narrators.
me was the dentist!


day four
SEA EXPEDETION.
this time, my partner was lynette, a very pretty girl!! :D:D
she's extremely nice and patient as well.
then we exchanged partners with chin ping and mervis halfway.
was very warmed by ppl who offered help, checked if i was okay. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
i must have looked downright shagged. :/:/
sang songs to boost TINTAGEL's morale and we became more bonded as we kayaked tgt.
after washing the kayaks,
tintagel had one hr to wash up and have our lunch.
aft lunch,
sir LANCELOT and TRISTRAM cleaned the toilets tgt.
discovered a tiny toad in frnt of the gents. ahahs. that reminded me tt it was the fourth time some of us girls spotted a toad alrdy. found it in our bunks 2 or 3 times? freaky! LOL.
then the entire camp loaded onto the buses to go back to nanyang.
my! i sudd missed sch a lot la. haha
the whole camp gathered in the MPR for a sharing session. at this point, i sudd realised it wld have been better if AVALON (abalone), CAMELOT (can anot?) and TINTAGEL had more chance to interact and bond with each other.
oh wells, we performed for ea other in LT4 during finale night.
the entire camp also did tribal tgt and sang a birthday song for ms lee.
ended camp w lotsa phototaking!!!

in conclusion,
didnt regret going for LTC at all! forged many new friendships and strengthened existing ones!
last but not least, thank you TRISTRAM dearies and facils, camp wldnt be the same w/o the 14 of u! muacckks! <3
